About Me
My name is Erin Nolan, and I’m a multimedia journalist currently based in Hoboken, N.J.
I spent much of the past year covering New York City and the surrounding region for The New York Times as a member of the 2023-24 fellowship class. My work at The Times has brought me to a tiny school in the northern Catskills, the site of a fatal cargo ship fire, an overcrowded animal shelter and the New York City courtroom where a judge delivered the final verdict in the criminal assault trial of Marvel actor Jonathan Majors.
Previously, I was an investigative and breaking news reporter for The Times Herald-Record in New York, and I covered the North Shore of Massachusetts for The Salem News and southern New Hampshire for the Eagle-Tribune.
I'm originally from Hunterdon County, N.J. In 2019, I graduated cum laude from Emerson College — where I majored in journalism and minored in political science — after three years.
